5 Event Signage Used During The Avengers Premiere
Organizing an event requires a lot of coordination such as accommodation, transportation, catering, signage, special needs requirements, and event security. Each of these components involves its own sets of challenges.
Event signage being one of them. For example:
- Which signage do you choose?
- What signage can you put on a wall or on a floor to brand your event?
- What do you even search on Google to source them?
- What type of large signage are available?
- Can the signage be used outdoors?
Then there are other questions such as:
- What do you look for in a signage company?
- Are they reliable?
- Can they deliver your signage on time for the event?
If you have sponsors, does the signage company have the experience to accurately match your sponsors’ brand colors on the signage? In this post, we will focus on five event signage used during the Avengers premiere with the goal of generating signage ideas for your next event. If the signage is good enough for the Avengers premiere, it should be good enough for all our events. Here are the most popular event signage you can use at your event.
Media walls are used as a backdrop where guests stand in front to take photos. Two other terms for this are red carpet backdrops or step and repeat banners. These walls come in multiple sizes and types. The size of a wall will depend on the type you choose. For example, one of the most common media walls is a pop up display. The size is based on the pop up frame used. The maximum size is 4.5m wide and 2.25m high. However, one key advantage of a pop up display is it is easy and quick to setup.
If you require a larger media wall where you want to be able to fit 20 guests into a photo then something like a TRIGA system will be your best bet. With a TRIGA system, your walls can be as long as you want. You can cover a whole 400m track if you want it to. The advantage of the TRIGA system over a pop up display is its modularity. Meaning you can connect multiple walls together giving it the ability to extend to any length possible.
Crowd Control Banners
Crowd control banners or CCBs are common for sporting events or any events where celebrities and fans are involved. A CCB is essentially a banner used to attach onto a crowd control barricade. These banners are printed onto a mesh material.
Two of the most important things to consider when purchasing CCBs are:
- The material. The type of material you choose or your print provider recommends will be determined by the windiness of the location. The material will also determine the print quality of your banner.
- The size of your crowd control barricade. This will determine the size of your banner.
Sign boards are one of the most common signage used in any event because they are:
Sign boards can be mounted onto a wall, hung on a ceiling or freestanding. On top of that, signboards can be cut and folded into any shape you desire. They also come in a variety of materials such as Corflute, Foam Boards, PVC, etc. The type of material you use will depend on how you are going to use them. For example, if you are hosting an outdoor event, Corflute will be the most suitable option here because it is waterproof.
Mesh banners are perfect if you need to cover a large area such as a scaffolding or a wall. They are also easy to pack down which will:
- Save you a lot of money on transportation costs
- Make it reusable.
Mesh also comes in multiple varieties. The two most common being fabric mesh and vinyl mesh. One of the key difference between those two are fabric mesh is more suitable for short-term use whereas vinyl mesh is more suited to longer-term use.
In my opinion, this is the most underrated signage in the signage world. Floor graphic is one of the most underused event signage. One of the most common use cases of floor graphic is as a directional signage to help smooth out the traffic in your event. Depending on the material, floor graphics can be used on a wide variety of surfaces such as carpets, roads, and floorboards. Another advantage of floor graphics is they can be cut into any shape you want such as an arrow shape.
Media walls, crowd control banners, sign boards, mesh banners and floor graphics are some of the most popular event signage. There are still much more such as wall decals, pull up banners, portable counters and much more.
